Meet Dr. Matt Ryskalczyk

Dr. Matt Ryskalczyk grew up in Edmonds, Washington, graduating from Edmonds Woodway High School in 2005. After earning a degree in Biochemistry from Seattle University in 2009, he attended dental school at The University of Pennsylvania, graduating #1 in his class in 2013. Matt returned to the Pacific Northwest for his oral & maxillofacial surgery residency, earning a Medical Degree from Oregon Health and Science University in 2016, and his Specialist Certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2019. In recognition of Matt’s strong interpersonal skills, surgical skills, and dedication to learning, Dr. Ryskalczyk was admitted to a prestigious Jaw and Trauma Surgery Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia. Returning to Seattle in late 2020, Dr. Ryskalczyk cared for patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He continues to hold an affiliate faculty position at the University of Washington Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and is an on-call surgeon for facial trauma and pathology at Swedish Hospital.
Outside of oral surgery, Matt enjoys hiking and backpacking with his Dalmation, biking, skiing, and adventuring in his self-modified Sprinter van. He is a general aviation pilot, and flys out of Paine Field.
